Gift ideas for the boyfriend 101...

Gifts for the boyfriend 101...

This is not my smartest move since essentially this is what I got the BB, but I doubt he will read this unless I tell him to, and if I tell him not to, I know he won't...

I like the idea of gifting in themes. In the past I have done things like electronics (i.e. that surround sound he's always wanting plus a few of his favorite movies), or trips and things he will need on them (plane ticket plus a cool bathing suit), you know things like that...

This year I opted for a mini-shopping spree. I wanted to make sure the shopping spree had a bit of everything, so I bought a blend of cool accessories as well as clothes.

My favorite part is always the accessories as I find that a whole bunch of nicknacks is always fun to receive: I went for a cool belt, a beanie, a tie and some cool RayBans (aviators are cool but everyone has a pair so I was in between the Original Wayfarer in Tortoise shell & the Clubmaster). Since it is the holidays, I decided he needed more Velvet Blazers (you see, my love affair with velvet is not only for couches and women's clothes, it also extends to everything else...and blue is definitely my favorite color of all times). I also got some of the necessary usuals: a couple of wool dress pants (with a cool pattern -like a demure plaid or pinstripe and always with a skinny leg), some cool colored dress shirts, argyle socks and some rock 'n' roll themed tshirts...

I'm alive!

Hi BohoLovers! My photographer has been MIA for about a month, hence my disappearance... But alas, all is back in order so I hope to be posting regularly from now on... XOXO

Jenna Lyons continues to be a HUGE influence with these awesome glasses, and though they are incredibly cool, they are not just for show. It turns out I am just a tad blind... I got these at SEE.  Store introduced to me by my friend Biki, this lens crafter makes upmost quality, uber trendy Italian glasses....

Fashion Icon...

... I never thought I would say this but - Kristen Stewart -

I actually always thought she would be a really cool person to meet and greet, just because she seems really artsy and I love her indy films, but on top of that, she has just budded in the fashion department...

I am loving all of this lace and sexiness! Way to go Kristen! You look absolutely stunning!

Breakfast at Tiffany's...

My addiction for the past months has been watching old films. Seriously! Not to sound interesting or hipster or whatever but I just do not know what it is about the plots in these films, they are just so good and different. I don't think I have watched a movie like that in recent time.

My favorite and my "I recommend" list of classics for today:

1. CasaBlanca: Forty thumbs up. This is my new favourite movie. It is sooo heartbreaking.

2. Breakfast at Tiffany's: I was not expecting this at all. I thought it was about a snooty woman who had gourmet food at a snooty place and wore Tiffany's jewellery. I was sooo wrong. This movie is sooo hilarious, and Audrey H. is a total nutt! Fantastic, it is actually called B. @ T. because Audrey H. was some sort of high class escort (not really, sort of) and every morning her taxi would drop her off in front of Tiffany's and she would have breakfast out of a paper bag.

3. Gone With the Wind: It is soooo long, but you don't feel it. The movie is fantastic but I loved it also because except for her stupidity in love, Scarlett reminds me of my grandmother. Wow, did that woman have balls, character and a knack for business, not to mention beauty!

Books: The Bell Jar - Sylvia Plath

Current Movies:

Anyone who knows me knows I am sucker for Quentin Tarantino and his kick ass Kung Fu women. He sort of made my weekend (and I had no idea this was coming out so it was really nice and unexpected):

1.  The Man with the Iron Fists: Really Gory as you can expect, lots of Kung Fu (I loved it how now I was like "oh look: he's doing Tiger claw :p"), kick ass women all around, and a lot of really pretty Asian ladies :)

Movies to look forward to:

1. TWILIGHT!!! Breaking Dawn part II - out Nov. 16
2. On the Road - December
3. Django Unchained - Xmas day (new film by Quentin, Leo is in this one.)
4. The Great Gatsby - Sometime next year. (Hurry up Leo. He's in this one too.)
